Make international shipments

INTERNACIONAL DELIVERIES

Shipping is a fundamental part of selling successfully. Todogadget cannot control international sales as well as private communication between users. Consequently we advise to carry out transactions within the national territory. Todogadget is not responsible if two users complete an international transaction and a problem or fraud arises. The charges and procedures are more complex, because different national postal systems are used and the costs of delivery and returns are higher. If you finally decide to make an international shipment, here are some tips that can help you when making shipments:

- Choose a reliable transport company that takes care of any unforeseen events that may arise during the process. Choose a carrier that is well valued for its services.
- Always specify the shipping costs and time. Explaining the details of the submission process makes your ad more attractive to international buyers, helps increase sales, and avoids doubts..
- Whenever we make a shipment, it is advisable to choose a shipping service with tracking and indicate the tracking number to the buyer. This builds confidence and you can see where your item is at all times.
- If necessary, you must indicate any information related to taxes, duties and customs procedures.

TAXES AND DUTIES

If you sell items and ship internationally, you must know and comply with the applicable customs and tax regulations. These vary depending on whether you sell items and send them to countries that belong to the European Union or to countries that do not belong to it.

SELL ITEMS AND SHIP WITHIN THE EU

There are generally no border customs within the EU. This means that you do not have to provide customs documentation or pay duties. If you sell items and ship within the EU, you must:

- Know and comply with the obligations of the value added tax (VAT).
- Know the special territories of the EU:
- The Åland Islands (Finland).
- The Canary Islands (Spain).
- The Channel Islands (Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Herm and Sark).
- The French overseas departments of Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique and Reunion.
- Mount Athos, also known as Ágion Poros (Greece).
- Commercial shipments from the Channel Islands to the UK are not exempt from import VAT. Items from these countries are processed in the same way as those imported from non-EU countries.

Selling items and shipping from an EU country to a non-EU country involves the application of import duties and taxes (for example, VAT on imports). Special taxes may also be applied on the importation of certain items. Some countries may also impose customs fees.

CUSTOMS DOCUMENTATION

All packages shipped from the EU to a country that doesn't belong to it have to go through customs and must complete the relevant customs forms. The article could be retained in the office if the documentation you provide is incomplete or incorrect.

Also in some cases you need export licenses or other permits. Generally, when you transact an international shipping, customs documentation required is as follows:

- A complete description of the product
- The item price
- Net weight (in kilograms) of article
- Country of origin

This information isn't required by all shipping companies, but they should ask it.
